Rocco Church Statue
(Woodtone Finish Shown)
This beautiful Statue,
produced exclusively in America, combines old world tradition and style
with the latest technical innovation in casting and development. It
is produced in rigid, durable Fiberglass which is much more dependable
than plaster, styroform or wood and is a small fraction of the weight of
marble, stone or cast iron. It is both durable and convenient.
The colored version (shown) is the indoor version while the outdoor
version is available in the following finishes: White, Stone, Pewter &
Bronze. The finish of this Statue prepared in any of the specially
weatherized outdoor finishes will stand up to the weather for at least 10
years.
We are more than just an economic alternative to our European
counterparts. While ordering from this line of Statuary will
eliminate months of waiting, tariffs, and inflated prices, there's more -
this Statue will exude the quality of detail and perfection that religious
art demands!

ROCH
Also known as Rock; Rocco; Rollox; Roque; Rochus
Memorial 16 August
Profile:
French noble who early developed a sympathy for the poor and sick. While on
pilgrimage Roch encountered an area afflicted with plague. He stayed to minister
to the sick, and affected several miraculous cures, but contracted the plague
himself. He walked into a forest to die, but was befriended by a dog. The dog
fed him with food stolen from his master's table, and Roch eventually recovered.
When Roch returned to France, he was charged with spying. He languished in jail
for five years, never mentioning his noble connections, cared for by an angel
until his death.
